Bambooware

The production of bamboo has had a long
history in Zhouzhuang.As early as the Qing
Dynasty, a workshop of bambooware was set
up to the north of the township of Zhouzhuang,
producing workboxes,beds, mats,tablets,
buckets, and baskets of varied size for daily use
or production. The durable bambooware made in Zhouzhuang is known far and wide for its fine
workmanship. Small and elegant bambooware
is suited to the tastes and needs of tourists.
